Aggregate Cooling System
RMX: “Solution to every Aggregate Cooling System”
Briefing
In India, the cement industry is growing consistently. As the industry is growing continuously, the role of high-capacity silos serves as pivotal infrastructure components, enabling the efficient and cost-effective storage of essential materials like cement, fly ash, lime, and gypsum. These towering structures are not merely containers but crucial for maintaining a continuous supply of construction materials, ensuring projects can proceed without delays due to material shortages.
RMX offers a best suitable solution of customized high-capacity silos with various material conveying systems, designed for operational excellence and sustainability. Our focus on seamless installation, efficient material handling, and client-specific needs ensures unmatched quality and reliability, affirming RMX’s leadership in delivering advanced storage solutions.
An aggregate cooling system is a critical component used in the concrete industry to manage the temperature of aggregates—sand, gravel, and crushed stone—used in concrete production. This system is particularly important in environments with high ambient temperatures, where controlling the temperature of the concrete mix is essential to maintaining the quality and strength of the final product.
Aggregate cooling systems are crucial for controlling concrete temperature to prevent cracking and enhance durability, improving mix workability for easier handling and placement, and extending work times for complex operations, thus ensuring consistent quality despite temperature variations.
There are several methods to cool aggregates, including air cooling, water cooling, and ice cooling. The choice of method depends on the specific requirements of the project and the ambient conditions.
RMX has provided customized manufacturing aggregate cooling plant to client using the Water cooling method. In this plant, aggregate of range 40mm to 150 mm is stored in individual silos.
Aggregate is transported from the stock pile onto a special conveyor belt which is placed inside tunnel, and stored in respective silos. With piping system provided within silos, chilled water is circulated for cooling aggregate to achieve the required temperature. Water is removed from the bottom line mounted on silos. Cooled aggregate is passed through belt conveyor and using dewatering screen to separate the remaining water from the aggregate, and then transported to the batching plant.
